Techno-Economic Analysis of Rooftop Photovoltaic System under Different Scenarios in China University Campuses

The expansively unutilized rooftop spaces in the university campuses can provide an excellent opportunity for installation of solar photovoltaic systems to achieve renewable electricity generation and carbon dioxide reduction. Based on available areas local radiation situations, technical potential economic benefits system under seven scenarios were carried out three located different zones China. capacity installations building’s flat rooftops Tibet University, Qinghai Qilu University Technology reaches 11,291 kW, 9102 3821 corresponding maximum annual power 28.19 GWh, 18.03 5.36 respectively. From perspective analysis, PV installed “full self-consumption” mode are superior those “full-feed-into-grid” all study cases. highest return investment pitched be achieved at 208% 204%, respectively, University. payback period is 1 year less than 8 years both Technology, Results reveal that significantly help universities move towards sustainability.
